THE THANKSGIVING FEAST

The Day began with my sweet husband getting up before me and started the day. Coffee of course, He prepared the turkey and took out the giblets for me to use later in my famous stuffing. Then I remembered we wanted to make a Pork loin roast too. So I had to defrost, but that wasn't to bad. While he was starting the basic preperations I looked around the house to see if any last minute things needed to be picked up or put away or hidden away. Then I took my shower and got beautiful for my guest! Then everyone else took their turn. getting beautiful and then full preperations took place.
There's a lot of work making a Feast. First you have to find every pot, pan, bowl, baking dish you have available in your storage and then figure what are you going to use for the potatoes of course that has to be the biggest pot in the house! But then your daughter yells down from upstairs and says are you making deviled eggs this year? Then you think omG I don't have enough pots or pans to fit 2dozen eggs and 5pounds of potatoes on the stove at once and cook the giblets too. Thank God for Microwaves!
But it all worked out the ballet of the kitchen put the eggs on take them off, put the veggies on put them in a bowl cut the giblets up , cut the celery up, chop the onions up, boil the broth add another pot, mix the stuffing up! I'm getting exhausted all over again but you see how it went. Its a lot of work and it all has to be timed out just right for your guest arrivals. We had a great feast. Our guest brought a huge homemade from scratch Cheesecake and Blueberrie Pie. and a Store bought pumpkin pie but that was alright. they just forgot to bring the whipped cream! We also received two great bottles of wine a New York vineyard brand First Love and Cranberry Bog.Good Sweet fruity wines just right for a Turkey Feast. When the Feast was served the Guest hardly spoke this is when you know that the food was perfect. Just a few mewings in between bites and mmmm I love the Stuffing, Apples? mmmmm then you can let out a sigh of relief that it was good. So I guess watching 5 cooking segments on the Today show and Martha Steward paid off.

Hi fellow bloggers haven't been on for a while side track by life.Lazy I guess. Well it turned out to be a somewhat difficult year. Smaller Jobs for John . Not a very good summer here in the North Country weather wise. Only went in the Pool Twice I think ,Cold, cold. brrr. It rained alot this year. alot of over cast days. But I did manage to go to the Lake once and tried to go another time but it was closed for repairs. :( Got sick in Sept. I'm pretty sure I had that h1n1 I went to the Hospital but I never get good service I have no luck sometimes. So I just treated my symtoms and stayed home from work got better and had the regular flu shot and made my daughter and Anthony get one too. $30.00 a pop wow. Insurance didn't pay I did!. o well thats how it goes at least I had the money. I didn't get to see my Grandchildren at all this summer, was it my fault maybe. But either money was tight for gas or I was working yeah I know excuses. But thats how it turned out this year. My daughter-in-laws mother moved up from Virginia and they spent a lot of time with her this year. So I let it be. Gabbi got a job at the local bakery in Price Chopper our grocery store , she was kind of iffy about it . But it all worked out perfect with her college schedule. I found facebook a strange thing happened one day I was looking at my e-mails on aol and this stranger ask me to join facebook and be his friend I said no I don't even know you. but who ever it was insisted so yes I was curious ( I know curiosity killed the cat) and copied and pasted the address and there I was on facebook. I explored typed in my info and followed the directions and lo and behold all these people from my childhood or highschool or places I worked were on there. More and more each time I found someone or they found me. I liked it. The man that invited me I asked him who he was and thanked him for inviting me asked if he knew my brother because he was from Chicago like him and poof that was the last I saw of him his not on anymore not on my friends page or anywhere. What do you think was he a little messenger sent out to recruit me so I could find my past and present! who knows all I know is that now I'm addicted to facebook and finding my friends , cousins , children and grandchildren on there.
